Change…it’s just something that happens whether we want it to or not. It’s something that we adjust to, and adapt to. Change is often painted in such a negative light, yet many times change is just what we need to move forward in life. We here at Morgan County Food Rescue have gone through so many changes over the past 3 months. God has placed many opportunities in our path that we never saw coming and honestly would have never dreamed of. But we’ve quickly adjusted to the changes and it’s amazing to see what God has done.
Three months ago we never imagined we’d be receiving as much food as we are; it’s been such an amazing
blessing to not only our organization, but the organizations that we deliver to. God knew on day one the changes that would occur and how we’d adjust to them. We like to believe that we have been faithful in every choice made throughout this time. Our prayer is to be faithful to Him always, so He will continue to provide for everyone here in Morgan County.
We also did not know who God would bring alongside us here at MCFR. I speak not only of the restaurants and companies that are donating food, but also the people that would serve with us in picking up the food, labeling
it, and distributing it. Our workforce continues to grow.
We pray daily that God continues to bless us so we can bless others. Our goal, which I’ve stated on multiple occasions, is to make sure no mouth goes unfed in Morgan County. We’ve grown to love and enjoy change as an organization; it’s kept us moving forward in this continual fight against hunger. We continue to seek prayers, that we are faithful to God and that we remember what our purpose is as an organization. We pray to have the kind of faith Matthew 17:20 speaks about: “Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a
mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
